On V-Day (Feburary 14), The Change Agent is joining the One Billion Rising campaign to end violence against women and girls. Join us at De Balie at 16 pm for a reading of Eve Ensler’s A Memory, a Monologue, a Rant, and a Prayer.
8 March is International Women’s Day. The Change Agent will be hosting a public debate at Rode Hoed in Amsterdam, organised in partnership with the European Commission and European Parliament’s Representation in the Netherlands and Lof Media. Guests include EU Commissioner Neelie Kroes, Agnes Jongerius, Jeroen Smit and many others.
The Change Agent recently teamed up with the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science, in partnership with Lousewies van der Laan, to organise a Solution Salon on equality. Check out the video on Youtube.
Shevolution!
In 2011, The Change Agent was appointed UN Women’s Representative by the Dutch Women’s Council. As such, she addressed the 2011 UN General Assembly later this year and attended the 55th Commission on the Status of Women. Diversity 2.0
Together with Jamila Aanzi The Change Agent wrote an essay on the impact of inclusion. It was published in Dappere Nieuwe Wereld (“Brave New World”), a collection of essays by young thinkers.
